Ryan Matthews

I decided to switch my career from the UK Armed Forces into IT software and development. Edenred has offered great opportunities for me to continually learn and grow.  I have a passion for travelling, sports, cooking and art. Outside of work you will usually find me travelling, running somewhere, in the kitchen or maybe all three!

Career path and Current Role

I joined as a Scrum master 2 years ago, I am facilitating two software development teams working in payments processing & working across scaling the wider engineering department. There is a great drive for innovation & improvement across the board and its very motivating to be a part of.

What makes you vibe

Edenred has a real drive for improvement, I’ve never worked with so many motivated people who are all striving for excellence. There is freedom to run experiments and try new ways of working. Edenred culture creates a very supportive, innovative & fun environment to work in. Not to mention the great parties!  

Best memory at Edenred

Being able to travel to Bucharest to meet and learn with our colleagues oversees, it was great to collaborate with the wider EdenRed Community. It was great to explore a new place together while learning how to lead technology teams!

Favourite sport

I have been involved in Boxing for a number of years, I have done lots of coaching and have competed in bouts around the UK. I enjoy developing boxers in the sport to help them reach their potential and build confidence. It’s a sport that teaches you a lot of discipline and how to overcome all of life’s challenges.
