Two Regulated entities
Prepay Technologies Limited (PPT)
Prepay Technologies Limited (PPT) is an e-money institution regulated by the FCA. PPT is one of the oldest eMoney institutions in the UK and was first granted a license in 2003. PPT holds a Mastercard license and is a Participant in the Faster Payments scheme and also connected to BACs and Chaps schemes.
PPS EU SA (PPS EU)
PPS EU SA (PPS EU) is regulated in Belgium by NBB as an eMoney institution and was established in 2019 to provide the right to operate in the EU. It has a branch in France and has passported its licensed activity in 7 countries across the EU. PPS EU is an Affiliate customer of Mastercard and is an indirect participant in the SEPA credit transfer and Direct Debit schemes.
Building Trust
Each entity operates a Three Lines of Defence Model. In line with the overall Edenred group risk policies, our monitoring framework manages risk along the priority areas of AML and IT Security. Our specific business model also includes a strong focus on Agent Oversight. Our Compliance framework is based on a a core set of compliance tools, key to our commitment to managing AML and Sanctions risks. They form the foundation of our compliance infrastructure. But we don’t stand still. Our compliance teams work closely with our product and tech teams to adapt and refine our toolset.
First Line Of Defence
Our operations and customer facing teams serve as the initial line of defence. They are responsible for applying our compliance policies and procedures on a day-to-day basis, proactively identifying and mitigating risks as transactional level.
Second Line of Defence
A dedicated compliance organisation provide oversight, guidance and support to the first line teams and the wider business and the agents we work with. They design and enforce a comprehensive compliance programmes, conducting regular risk assessments and monitoring our operatings to ensure regulatory and scheme adhernce.
Third Line of Defence
Our audit function independently reviews our compliance measures and processes to provide an objective assesment of our practices, engaging external audit or group audit functions where appropriate.
Cybersecurity and data protection
We have a dedicated organisation within PayTech, which, together with the wider group tools and and technical solutions, controls our Cybersecurity risk framework. Edenred PayTech is PCI-DSS certified and is annually evaluated by an external auditor.
