Gail Jones

I joined Edenred Paytech in July 2022 after a working in Retail Banking IT for my whole career.  I love working in the payments arena and have enjoyed the move to a Fintech and the challenges of working in Product.  
Outside of work, I am a qualified clinical aromatherapist and enjoy dabbling in product making and discovering new essential oils and the benefits they can bring.

Career path and Current Role

Having started in IT as a trainee programmer, many decades ago! I moved through the roles into Senior Management running large programmes.  Working in card payments has been exciting, fast paced and deliveries have to be right first time.  As technology has advanced I have too, encompassing API/microservice experience into my tool kit.  In Paytech, I lead Product Managers and have an area of focus around our new technology stacks. I am also a member of the Extended Execo, giving me an opportunity to shape the way the company grows.

What makes you vibe

It’s the people.  What a great bunch of people to work with who have been very welcoming, share knowledge, show dedication, commitment and care about our customers.

Best memory at Edenred

Best memory of the last 18 months has to be the launch of the SmartER product using the new API’s that we have built. Great collaboration between the Paytech teams and our colleagues in Edenred.
